The Gender Wage Gap Equal Pay Day Event

Co-Sponsored by:

  • The American Association of University Women of Delaware
  • The Delaware Commission for Women
  • The League of Women Voters of Delaware

Pay Equity Day occurs on April 12 this year. This is the point during the year when, on average, women’s salaries finally equal what men made in the prior year. Events will take place in Dover on April 12 to bring this issue to the attention of our legislators and the public at large. Please join us.

Based on the latest pay figures available, women in Delaware were paid only 82% of what men in our state were paid in 2014. This is a slight reduction from 2013, when women were paid 83%. Things are going in the wrong direction!
